RURAL BRYANT, SD, PRESENTS:
Praise Him for His grace which is sufficient for victorious living and the power in the Holy Spirit that qualifies us for fruitful service. To Him belongs the glory and dominion for He is our majestic King and sympathetic High Priest, reigning on high and in our hearts.
WATCH AND PRAY AND BE YE READY. There are so many signs in respect of the days of the coming of the Son of Man that we do well to take heed of these words of Christ, "Watch and pray and be ye ready." The fig tree budded in 1948 when Israel became a nation. From that time there is one generatiohn, the 70th week of Daniel, during which a whole host of prophecies will come to pass. The most significant event of the past few weeks is the capture and possession of the old Jerusalem by the Jews. We read in Luke 21:24b, "Jerusalem will be trodden down by the Gentilers until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled." The confederacy of the Arab nations fighting against Israel was SPEEDILY defeated (see Joel 3:4). The land of Palestine is again blooming like a rose and prosperity has come to these people. (Is. 35 and Joel 2)
The Lord has said that the Arabs have no portion or right or memorial in Jerusalem. (Neh. 2:20) But what does this mean to us, "the times of the Gentiles is fulfilled?"
We know we are called to lift up our heads for we know our redemption draws nigh. This means a call for inner preparation among the Christians, making ready for the rapture which becomes more and more imminent as the days go by. The 150,000 Jews who came into Jerusalem to pray at the wailing wall in one day, is but a prelude to the weeping and wailing that will come to pass when they "see Him whom they pierced." This has not happened as yet but the Lord has foreseen this and has given us His sure prophetic word concerning it.
