"How Pearl Got Home in the Dark..."
Papa told me to take the horse and buggy home from town. I had two horses hitched to the buggy. It was growing dark and I was concerned. How was I to find my way home without light? But I knew the horses knew the way. So I let the reins drop and the horses kept moving in the dark, and
sure enough, they knew just where to turn from one road to the next, and
presently, after several miles, I was back at Plain View Farm!
