PLAIN VIEW HERITAGE FARM,

RURAL BRYANT, SD, PRESENTS:

"Ginther Paradise for Kids,"

Tribute to John Ginther

by Grandson Ron Ginther

WELCOME TO GRANDPA JOHN GINTHER'S PARADISE FOR KIDS!

Grandpa John Ginther of Hayti, SD, loved children dearly, and this was shown how he created a wonderful carnival just for them (and fun-loving adults too!). His God-given gift was fully displayed as he fashioned unique and priceless, horse-drawn circus wagons (one had a swing for children on it), a merry-go-round pulled by ponies, and other attractions, including the performances of trick horses.

All the horses, mules, pony carts and wagons were decorated to the hilt, with Grandpa the impresario decked out in an Abe Lincoln-type, or "stovepipe hat." No more exciting place was there to be imagined than Grandpa's farm when it came time for a reunion!

But Grandpa Ginther shared his wonderful rigs and horses with many, with numerous SD towns and hamlets on special holidays or just when he felt like treating his children or visiting children brought to see his marvels.

Share a little of this fascination John Ginther created with much work, considerable outlay of money (which was not abundant in his case!), tremendous creativity, and amazing knowledge of horses and wagonry! Grandpa Ginther is in heaven now, and we honor his memory and his love for children by this page in thanks for how he made many, many children (as well as his own grandchildren) very happy and put smiles on many people's faces over the course of his long life.
